Beach Club leisure assistant, Ali Barrett said "We have a great sense of team work here at the Beach Club, and our staff have built a strong relationship with our members. When we suggested to them that we work together to raise money to help the people of Haiti, our members jumped at the chance to be part of it".
The event has been opened to all current Beach Club members, with participants choosing between beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of cycling and securing their own sponsorship. The hotel will award prizes for the highest individual sums raised.
Tom Peel, leisure club supervisor said "We have members of all different fitness levels here and welcome everyone's support in achieving our goal, each member involved in the cycle has been set a realistic goal that will be a challenge to each individual. Beach club staff will be with them at each session to offer support and monitor their progress.
All money raised from the event will be donated to Cornish charity, Shelter Charity Box who have been sending shipments of their aid boxes out to Haiti since the Earthquake in January.
